About the ChildSavers Training Institute
The Training Institute provides evidence-based training to parents, child care providers, and professionals in the areas of early childhood development, mental health, the impact of trauma on children, and treatment models including play therapy and family therapy.
The Training Institute's mission is to enhance the social and emotional development and mental health of children and their families through providing high-quality training and education to those who care for and educate children.

About the Trainers
Wendy Hall, LCSW, RPT-S
Wendy Hall is the Program Manager for ChildSavers' Guidance Clinic, which provides outpatient psychotherapy to children and their families. She is also responsible for developing and implementing the intern training program for social work and psychology students. She is an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in the School of Social Work Master’s Program. Ms. Hall also has experience providing intensive therapeutic services to unaccompanied refugee minors in therapeutic foster care, adoption, and psychiatric hospital social work. She received her Master's of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000 and is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor.
Vivian Mann, LCSW
Vivian Mann is the Director of Training and Professional Development and leads the ChildSavers Training Institute, which provides evidence-based training to parents, child care providers, paraprofessionals and professionals in the areas of Early Childhood Development and Mental Health, the Impact of Trauma on Children, and Treatment Models addressing children’s mental health issues including Play Therapy and Family Therapy. Previously at ChildSavers, she was the Clinical Director for eight years, managing the Guidance Clinic (which provides outpatient psychotherapy to children and their families) and the Trauma Response Program (which provides immediate response and short-term trauma focused counseling to children who have been impacted by trauma). She is also an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in the School of Social Work Master’s Program. She received her Master's of Social Work degree from New York University. She is currently working toward her Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and Certified Trauma Specialist credentials. She is also part of the first group of ten individuals in the state working toward her Infant Mental Health Endorsement.
